Do you have to find the house you want before you get a loan from the bank?

I am trying to take all of the steps I need to in order to purchase my first home. I still have a ways to go before I will be able to do so but I was wondering whether you had to have the home that you wanted picked out before you go to get a mortgage loan from the bank? I guess I’m just not really sure how the whole process works. Also if anybody knows what an approximate credit score range you must have in order to obtain a home loan from a bank that would be great. It would be even better if someone can provide me with all of the common requirements to get a home loan :) Thank you!

Chase best buy Visa credit card?
I currently carry 4 credit cards. 1 amex, 1 mastercard and 2 visa cards. The 2 visa cards are Cibc Dividend Visa Infinite and Chase Best Buy Visa. Limits on both are 10,500 and 7,000 respectively. Hello all, I have recently been looking around to buy a 2006 Mazda 3 from a private seller. It has 93,200 miles on it. I am a college student who is looking to co-sign a loan with my father. We were approved at Chase Bank, however the car did not fall in the range (5 calendar years, < 75,000 miles) so we had to throw that offer out the window. We were denied at a local credit union mostly because we are not members. So, we just tried Bank of America and the car falls within range (< 7 years, > 100,000 miles), minimum of $7500. My father is a member and has good credit. Now, the car is $6800, and would be $7495 if included sales tax. But I have read online that I pay sales tax at the DMV here in NY; would Bank of America write the check for $6800 or would they deny me after seeing the bill of sale? Payday Loan stores giving cards instead of credit?
Ive used payday loan stores in Arizona on and off for a couple of years. Recently I was told that cash in hand will no longer be offered but instead my money would be placed on a disposable visa card and I was told direct deposit from my employer would need to be set up in order for my loan to be approved. has anyone run into this before. it seems like a hassle, but Im wondering what the payday loan company is getting out of using the disposable visa’s. Bankruptcy Information?
I live in the state of Pennsylvania. I recently contacted a lawyer to do a Chapter 7 bankruptcy. I have been paying him bit by bit as we are in the process of a loan modification for our mortgage and bankruptcy papers can’t be filed until then, so we are not in a hurry. I have done a bit of thinking after borrowing a book from the library, on credit repair. We may be moving in the next year and currently own our home. A chapter 7 would make it very difficult to purchase a new home. The book I am currently reading suggests an option to contact your creditors in writing, offering them one lump sum of balance that was owed if they are willing to remove the negative information from my credit file associated with the debt. Is this something that going through my lawyer would be the wise thing to do or is it safe to do on my own? And, what happens if one creditor agrees to this option but another does not as this will only improve the credit score slightly? Has anyone attempted this. If so, what was the outcome?””
