Recharging Energies

Feelings of the end of the year are a mix of excitement, frustration, hope, melancholy, joy, sadness, and nostalgia, at the same time. I’ve been thinking about this in the last years and as I’m writing an essay periodically, this subject inspired me this week.

More than achievement of goals or personal accomplishments, during Christmas celebrations I always remember other things. So, probably nostalgia is the best word that represents my thoughts because I always think of all the amazing times I’ve had in my life. It’s so grateful to look back and see just how much happened in four decades.

I realized that simple things, such as nature, songs, books, and family fit with these moments. In this way, here are a few things that I have found useful to understand and redeem vital values:

1) Swim in the sea, catch waves, walk or run in the field, stay out in the sun, feel the wind blowing in your face or messing up your hair;

2) Listen to songs that remind you of happy moments and your childhood;

3) Reading good books by different authors and subjects can help to understand ourselves , the world and people around us better;

4) Being with family or taking the time to stay with them is a good opportunity to laugh about past stories and not leave them forgotten, just saved.

I believe that if we take advantage of the fullness of these moments, we will recharge the energies in this continuous cycle.

Let your hair down!
