Every New Blogger Should Know this to Start

These all are the basic requirements to become a blogger. In present time a tough competition will not let you experiment and learn in the blogging. You have to learn very fast not only by other’s mistake even with your own too.

Blogging becomes more technical than writing, any technical mistake can lead you to the rank demotion in the Google Search results.

But today in this article we will not discuss on these hefty topics. On some of these topics, PressTemple expert’s already started to write about. Some of them are here, you can check this out:

We would highly recommend you to once go through all our article. It will help you a lot.

Today we will talk about some very basic requirements, other than this SEO, SMM, and other technical things.

Yes, I’ve mentioned beginner and new blogger because all the pro and experienced blogger know all about these and they keep all the tricks in practice. OK, without wasting a word even let’s start the article.

You should keep track of everything. Your content’s, website ranking, your social media followers or fans. Everything’s status should be to you, any pro blogger or experienced blogger do all these till now from their very first day of blogging.

If you’re using WordPress CMS for blogging then it’s very easy for you to keep track of many things. Google, Google Analytics, Webmasters and some premium tools give you the full access to your current status

In your early days it could be frustrating and motivate crusher but it will benefit in long run.

I’ll also recommend you not to worry about how much eyes skimming your creation, you have to write continuously.

But believe me, you have to know who is reading your article, even if only 10 people reading your article, you should know the demographic information about them.

These demographics and other information will let you know the much-needed improvements and what kind of audience are reading and how can you tweak your articles to make this more interesting for your audience.

This will also be the first step towards getting to know your audience and about their behavior.

Many new bloggers skip this step in their early days and after some years when get stuck with some limited no. of traffics. They didn’t know what to do and they have to go through this step and on that stage, it will become much harder.

Not only about your articles, bloggers also should know about their articles reach, impression, and engagement of their shared article on their new WordPress blog. Social media could be different from your website’s demographics. Although it happens very rarely, always we see a very slight change in website’s and social media demographics.

This task not very tougher one and you can do this very easily. Yes, in you first some days of starting a WordPress blog it could be time-consuming. But once you get trained then daily 15 minutes efforts well enough.

You started your WordPress blog, but what about some passive earning from your blog. Nothing.

Yes, in your early days, even before 1–2 yrs. Of starting your blog nobody is going to contact you for the sponsored post. These days Google Adsense easily approve any website to show their Ads. Some other Ad networks are there like Chitika and others, but they’ll not work if your WordPress blog does not have a lot of traffic.

Google paid a very very little amount for per click or refer, and if you’re getting only — click per day, then it doesn’t mean to you. Monthly $ 1–2 will not work for anyone. For income from sponsored post or Ad Network, you need a very large audience base and daily heavy traffic.

An affiliate link is the best solution for quite good income in comparison to these income alternatives.

You started a WordPress blog. Then contact different resellers for affiliation. There are many affiliate partner in any niche. Like if you’re writing in WordPress niche then you can have the affiliation from various themes and plugin creators. Many plugin sellers and others. For any kind of products, you can have Amazon webstore affiliation. If you’re in India then you can have of Flipkart, Snapdeal, and others too.

If anyone will buy something from your affiliate link then you’ll be getting paid by the main reseller some percentage of the product price. Generally, 20–30 % commission themes and plugins creator give. But Amazon and Flipkart kind of websites sell many things, so their percentage of commision will vary from product category to category.

Now you can compare that if only 1 of your visitor will buy the product from your affiliate link then you can be get paid approx. $10–20. But at the same time, low traffic websites will only earn $ 2–3 or maybe nothing.

So, after start a WordPress blog Affiliate links could be a very good source to have some passive income.

If you’ve been starting a WordPress blog then you don’t need to worry a lot about HTML formatting. Because in WordPress you did not need to do a lot with HTML codes and formatting. Visual builders even make this much much easier. You can play with the content and your design imagination, without even having an Idea about what changes you made in your HTML formatting and CSS (Cascading Style Sheet).

But sometimes, some task requires HTML basic understanding and CSS basic knowledge. IF you just start your blog on WordPress then you may not need now to do the coding but in future, you may need this.

So, the basic understanding of HTML and CSS will be very helpful to make the desired changes in your theme templates and or have some custom changes. It doesn’t require immediately after starting your WordPress blog, you can learn these slowly, will not trouble you a lot.

After all these technical talks, browser cache could be should bit off-topic. But for the people who are not well aware of the browser cache, they could be stuck sometime very badly.

Have you ever been made changes to your WordPress blog and you didn’t see the changes after refreshing the website?

If you haven’t stuck in this condition then you can in future. So, it’s good to know early about all these and be prepare to get rid of this.

This problem could arise because of Browser cache. Yes, browser cache is a kind of facility provided by browsers to us to load website pages faster. If you’re not well aware with Browser cache or you are asking yet “What is it?”, then read the next paragraph.

Browser cache is a kind of functionality in which browser download the picture text and other data to temporary memory and once again when we try to load all or some part of those temporary data, the browser doesn’t need to download all the thing.

OK, let me simplified it. Suppose you open your WordPress blog in your browser. Then it would download many things like your logo, some basic pictures and other data for your theme templates. When you’ll switch to some other page of your blog then the browser will not download again your logo pic and other basic pics which was available on the previous page. So, if the browser will not have to download those data then obviously page will load faster.

So, now you are well aware of the term “Browser Cache”. Sometimes cause of this functionality new made changes in our blog we didn’t see, even after refresh.

There is 2 way to check this:

Delete Browser Cache: In different browser to delete the cache files could be different. If you’re using Google Chrome, then you can delete the cache file at the time of deleting the history. At the time of deleting the history, you’ll get an option to tick the cache image. Mark that if you want to delete the cache files.

In modern operating systems like Windows 8 or 10, we have plenty of option for the web browser. Microsoft edge and Internet Explorer we get pre-installed and if we want to install any other web browser then we have plenty of option.

As I mentioned earlier in the article that, competition is quite tough to experiment-fail-learn process. You have to learn from others, and there is nothing wrong with it.

Any problem you are facing, you can search the solution of them. Some of the WordPress problems could be technical and if you’re facing them, then don’t worry PressTemple is here to take care all of them
