The mistakes we do as a software engineer

Today in this article I don’t want to talk about the tech stuff. Rather I want to talk about some mistakes we do as software engineers or in life. This article is kind of thoughts which I feel. These thoughts may be related to you or not. But still, you may want to read this. Here we go.

We as human beings are keen to try to learn new things. Things which we curious to know that how this work or what if I learn that new thing. But the passion or a feeling to learn anything new tends to change as time passes. Suppose we started to something new and we left it in the middle for a different reason maybe we got bored or see something interesting which was way better than what we are pursuing. While during this switching of shallow learned things we do mistakes.

The above quote is a nice explanation of this paragraph. Every well-experienced person who is proficient in his/her skills has started from the basic things. But I think it’s the rush to learn a complex thing before basic is a one-step towards a hell of mistakes. I mean from where this rush is coming from? Is it from comparing yourself with others? Or it is trying to impress someone? Whatever the excuse is always take baby steps to make it run.
Like a baby who tries to stumbled walk before she walks perfectly. Consistent steps are the key behind to all success.

It’s good to learn things but do we practice or dwell into it to be more trained on that. If a person watches only soccer and never tried to play infield and just thinking he got it how to play soccer. Well, then he could be God or dumb?

Personally, I also do these things sometimes. There is so much competition in this world now that every kid wants to learn everything by just watch and learn. Then who the heck will do practice? If you don’t do practice for the things which you learn you will never master them. Try to keep up the practice even if on alternate days so that it’s never new to you when you try it again.

Being competitive is a good thing. It helps to motivate and let you achieve your goal. But getting jealous is not a good idea. Let’s take an example think of the group of friends where one guy got hired with a good pay scale by a company but instead of being happy, the other friends get jealous. Why other friends didn’t take it as a motivation or to do much better than his friend.
Don’t discourage yourself by comparing yourself with others. It will destroy and keep you down, make you nervous, make you angry, and whatnot.
Don’t waste time thinking about such things. Rather than work on it what you do best.

Last but not least a day when you start is a beginning, not the end. So be consistent, be productive. It’s okay if another day you feel depressed or don’t want to do anything.

Try to learn every day something new even it’s just a drop of water from the ocean.

I hope you guys liked it. For more content have a look at below reference.
