Resume and Cover Letter In Person Drop

Looking for a job is quite a hectic thing to do after graduation. Job hunting is an art and a skill to be developed. While looking for a job we apply online on the company’s official website. Other than this we should also visit the company and drop our CV to the HR Manager personally. This is the step of going #extramile. In person CV drop is not compulsory but it shows our passion and interests in the company.

In Person CV drop means to go the company, office, or the recruiter by yourself and handover your CV and cover letter. This is something done by extra efforts for gaining extra credits or you can say this is the thing to go extra mile in job surfing.

The biggest thing during in person CV drop is our introduction. If our introduction is not good, it spoils our efforts for in person drop of CV.

I kept my elevator pitch simple and short so that, he may not feel that I have remembered the lines to speak in front of him.

The main thing I learned is that we must go for in person drop, it would be more good if we have visited the place before so that we don’t have to find the location in that time of nervousness. We must show them gratitude so that they get the idea of how much we are thankful to them for their precious time. We must seem happy and contented that depicts we are willing to work here and our in person drop is already showing that how much we are passionate about the job. This thing will double our chances of getting job. Moreover, we will feel comfortable in the interview process as we might already have some conversation with the recruiter or other person form the company.

Since this was the first time going to the HR, that’s why I have to face a lot of challenges in front of recruiter.

1- Body Language : Unintentional gestures

2- Silence : Before starting conversation

3- Introduction : Elevator Pitch

I will practice my elevator pitch a little more to give a natural tone to it. I will visit the company one time before, to avoid nervousness at the time of CV drop.
