Only if you knew what goes inside my head,

when I see those faces with smile,

but hidden worries deep within them,

every soul trapped in the illusion,

Illusion of a reality,

a universe of their own.

Every day a universe is being created,

and every day a universe ends.

In the midst of this chaos of existence,

A broken bird at night, lie awake in bed,

Only if you knew what goes inside my head.

Every eye has seen the pain,

Of a broken heart, of a lost soul,

Of that sudden surge of deep emotion,

In that will to fight back,

Or that wild dream to pursue,

The pain of losing someone on the way,

Or being left alone, lost in commotion,

as if pain is in the fabric of reality.

Yet no one seems to remember it,

or so they pretend, as do I,

pretending to look forward to the road ahead,

Only if you knew what goes inside my head!
